To present an adapted Alphlexo crab in ultra skinny water and having a Spotted Grunter (Pomadasys commersonni) actually eat it, represents the holy grail of South Africa estuary fishing for us. Over the years many strategies have evolved to target these finicky fish on fly. Most of these are highly specific to a system. Casting marsh crab imitations to tailing fish in ultra shallow grass bed margins is the way of our home waters.
